Collection : National Gallery
This Channel 4 video is dedicated to a visit that takes us through the National Gallery of London. The "visit" is divided into various themes (13) and as we move along the programmes we (re)discover various pages of history and legends which emphasize the importance of painting at a time when photography did not exist as well as the way painting evolved between the Middle Ages and the end of the 19th century. The filming of the works being presented is remarkably done and the comment offers many opportunities to develop the comprehension of non- English speakers.
